MRNA expression is reversely proportional to protein expression

I have done my qRT-PCR and the results showed that down regulation of my target gene compared to the untreated control. But the protein expression showed up regulation (>1) if compared to the untreated control of which the expression is set as 1. May I know what is the possible explanation?
