I use the antibody P-PRAS40 in connection with isolated human monocytes. Among other things, I am investigating the status of P-PRAS40 using WES (capillary-based analysis of protein simple). I noticed in the analysis that the bands do not appear around the MW of 40, but at 57. I have repeated this with several subjects and the result is always the same and the peak very clear. Now my question would be, if the protein is known to be glycosylated or modified in another way, that it increases in size?
