Dear Sir/madam,
While modelling the concrete and prestressing steel contact interface (bond behaviour) for bonded and unbonded post tensioned concrete beam model (concrete=Solid65, steel=link 180) using ANSYS APDL by GUI method, I face the following problems:-
1)
If I use combine 39 spring elements for interface bond behaviour I need bond slip relationship data for prestressing steel, since most of the authors given the bond slip relationship equation for conventional steel only (which is a ribbed (rough) surface one with low yield strength). But PS steel is a smooth surface steel with very high yield strength. Still can i use the same equation as given for conventional steel or else is there any author given any Constitutive equations for PS steel also. Please suggest on this.
2)
Due to this consequences, On the other hand if I want to model the contact interface by contact pair elements such as (targer170 & conta175/174), for both bonded and unbonded tendon case, then in this case how can I select the interfaces nodes of concrete and steel element separately, as each nodes of both the elements lies at the same location (even when I separately mesh concrete and steel element).
Also could you please suggest how can I apply the prestress to link 180 element, since the link8 element can't be available anymore (in which option was available where we can directly give the prestrain value while defining the real constant value). Please give your suggestion.
I want to model any one the above said to give the interface contact behaviour but I face difficulty in both the model type.
Please help in this regard, also your suggestions are appreciable and much needed for me.
Thank you,
