I'm looking for a method that is sensitive enough to measure dietary cellulose content of rat feed at 0.5% cellulose, and up to 1.5%. We have tried the ADF method and AOAC 991.43, the ADF was slightly better (more accurate) than the AOAC. The Updegraff method does not seem sensitive enough.

Are there other methods we can try/recommendations? We'd like to use the ANKOM machine to do ADF, but are getting high readings (e.g. 2.3% when there is 1.6% added to feed).
