in my Aspen Plus Simulation (see attachment) there are two heat exchangers. One HEX1 (oil+gas) ist fed by hot gas which ist coming out of a burner. The other HEX2 (gas+gas) shall work as a heater to preheat air which is feeding the burner which is again feeding HEX1. The waste gas of HEX1 shall be fed into HEX2 to preheat air --> in this connection following error occurs:

First, the most common errors in this type of simulation with heat exchangers are related to the following:
Temperature crossings. Check that there are no temperature crossings.
Solution method. Before running the simulation you must make sure you choose the correct solution method.
ΔT. In heat exchangers there is a section that marks a temperature difference that must be met for the simulation to converge.
I recommend that you do your simulation in two parts.
First simulate the burner part with the HEX1.
Then simulate the HEX2 part with the mixer with some assumed temperatures.
Aspen names the sections of the simulator, identifies which section $ OLVER01 refers to in order to identify where the error is.
Find out if the WEGSTEIN method is the most suitable for what you want to simulate.

if the project is not confidential share the file. It is difficult to answer the question by only looking at the error message. So far, looking at your flowsheet, change your burnoil heat exchnger to simple HX or connect the utility stream (two inlet and two outlet stream). I guess your problem will be solved.
