Hi everyone,
I'd like to generate forces in mammalian cells by stretching/compressing them. The quotations I received from companies e.g. for devices such as stretch chambers are horrendously expensive, so I'm considering building one myself.
Does anyone know a good tutorial/blueprint for a simple stretch chamber from commercially available components (electronics, plastic parts, elastic membranes compatible for cell culture)?

Thanks for your reply! I want to mainly stretch (although compressive force would be also interesting as a comparison) skeletal muscle cells (C2C12) and cardiomyocytes (from neonatal rat and iPSC derived).
