I am using BRFF-HPC1 media for growing MDA-PCa-2b cells. My cells are not growing well and they are growing very very slow.I used 20% FCS and pen-strep in the HPC1 media. There is no glutamine and glucose in the media. Can anyone please suggest what I need to change or add in the media?

I would try adding L-Glutamine (1%) to the culture medium, if this wouldn't affect further experiments. There may be a problem with cell adherence which could be the reason for poor growth. You could coat the flasks with fibronectin or collagen this should allow the epithelial cells to adhere and therefore grow better.

Thank you for your suggestion. I am using poly lysine coated flask for the culture and its working well. I will try with L-Glutamine in the culture medium as you have suggested. Thank you once again.
