Yes that is possibe but It is required in matlab

I usually transform my excel data to mat file, it will be a matrix data easy to use in Matlab

Just copy an paste data.

Create a variable in the workspace then paste the excel data into the variable editor window (don't paste the header).

You can open the excel file from matlab and import the data too, each column will become a variable.

After that you can apply the corrcoef function.
