Hello, I am Business Administration student specializing in International Management and I am looking for a thesis topic that potentially tries to solve a managerial topic. I am interested in post integration (M&A), specifically regarding the culture aspect. I was looking into alliances/acquisitions between european and japanese firms but I cannot find a specific managerial challenge that ties all of this together. Any ideas? I am open to topic suggestions that stray from the above as long as it involves japanese and european firms. Any feedback is extremely welcome. Thank you!

Hello. I can only think about trying to look deeper into some M/As. For example when Nomura, a Japanese Bank acquired Lehman's international operations in 2008. As far as I have read there have been huge cultural problems within the post-M/A phase. Maybe you find some other cases and compare them to each other. Theory would be the usual cultural diversity stuff like Globe Study and so on. Empirical part the comparison, maybe of industrywise or countrywise.
