According to the patient's condition with cholesterol, if it is chronic, there are no side effects.. because leaving the treatment will increase the level of cholesterol in the blood and have more side effects.. Best regards
Dear Prof Parisa, very well done!, I am not agree with Dr Shakir as these drugs can damage the liver easily, just like m,any other synthetic chemical compounds and some changing in diet just like adding garlic and Ginger,.... can reduce the Cholesterol level in blood easily!
Thanks again for your sharing excellent scientific discussion.
Dear Dr Parisa Ziarati . There are a lot of side effects ( muscle, liver, diabetic, neurological, .. etc), Especially the medicine statins . See the following useful RG link: Article Statins: Pros and cons
As you asked to share only our own experiences, would like to add that I believe in what Dr Sepedih Tajik mentioned , while have seen it in my family health profile
Investigative journalist from Australia, Dr Maryanne Demasi, looked into the defective approval process for Statins with two other leading scientists and published the results. This attracted much media attention at the time.
This presentation by Dr Maryanne Demasi has been viewed by 1,390,500 people so far and will I think be more useful than the BMJ paper behind the paywall.
When someone prescribes to you an anti drug (with known or suspected after effects) take only half of what it says. Then its effects are minimized. That is what I did. Eventually, the doctor agreed!
Side effects of anti-cholesterol drug: such as stomach cramps, dizziness, muscle soreness, pain, or weakness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness.
Statins are the common prescribed drug. Statins can cause severe side effects like muscle damage and liver damage.
in major cases, anti cholesterol drugs required pain killer as supplementary dose.the pain killers causes slow heart attack or the living human could not feel the heart ache.
