I have a VBA Code to link aspen plus and excel for a Radfrac Column. code works good for a set of decision variables transferred to aspen and results of compositions are returned to excel. Now, i wan to calculate condition number for column for control purpose. so a step change is applied to decision variable and code is run again. and again after a step change in 2nd manipulated variable, code will be run again. Can anyone help how to add this code? i just repeated the same proceudre with new names for manipulated variables but simulation is running only for 1st value. unable to run for 2nd and 3rd value. can anyone help with this problem?
In general, if your simulation process is preceded by the generation of a population of feseable solutions, starting from an adequate to your task optimization (mono or multiple objective) model, then you will be able to simulate only feasible solutions, so your simulation model will not fail.

Guys, do you know how can I run a simulationin Aspen Dynamics in a Step Mode using VBA code?
I studied the Aspen Simulation Workbook and there is a macro which does something similar, but it only runs the simulation.
What I'm doing is changing the values that I want to input into the simulation in Aspen Dynamics, Waiting Some Seconds, Running the Simulation, Pausing it and Restarting, like the code below:

What I realized is that if I don't use Application.Wait (Now + TimeValue("0:00:5")), even in a for loop, the time to change cells values is faster than the time to do the task of running and pausing the simulation. I don't know why either. This problem makes me lose some input data during the action.
But, what I really wanted to do was not run and pause simulation, but step it. I believe that using the step my problem with the time to run the simulation could be solved.
Does anyone know how to do this?
