After learning about para-mutation it struck me as a possibility that mRNA may be piggybacking via chromatin architectural proteins right through mitosis and possibly through meiosis as well. Just wondering if the question had been asked before and whether mRNA FISH experiments have been done to test for this theoretical chromatin-piggy-backing hypothesis.
