I am carrying out a static analysis on ANSYS APDL. Is there any method or command so that I can calculate the volume of the yielded material. To be more specific I want to know how much fraction of the whole volume has yielded.
Use function *GET and loops and getting plastic strain and GET volume of element and add it to the sum.

has already provided one method.I am giving a crude shortcut which we use in our reports to show the yielded portion graphically.
To get a feel that how much thickness has yielded in an axisymmetric model (or even in 3D model also) we give /cval,,YS (where YS is value of yield strength) + /edge,,on + plns,s,eqv in ANSYS. It shows the portion where stress number is more than YS in gray and remaining portion (which has not yielded) in red. as element edge is on, you can count roughly how much thickness (or fraction of thickness) has yielded.
