I have questions regarding the safe use of cell phones in animal research facilities. While I acknowledge the hygienic risk, we often spend a lot of time inside our barrier SPF facility and we need to be in contact with the outside world. Also, it is handy to take a picture of a procedure, ask advice, etc.

Does anyone have any guidelines regarding using the cell phones in the animal houses and their cleaning? I am a behaviorist, so I want them on mute, no ringing, no music, no noisy conversations, but otherwise, I would like to have this tool for whatever happens.

Thank you!
