ANSYS multilinear material model does not support plastic strain vs stress data with a negative slope. Moreover, it assumes perfectly plastic (horizontal) behaviour from the end data point. How can the negative slope (necking) part of an experimental tensile test data be incorporated in ANSYS material modelling? ANSYS Mechanical APDL or Explicit Dynamics could be used. I heard that it is much easier in ABAQUS, but how to get it done in ANSYS?

Please help.

Thanks in advance.
