Is there any specific transcriptomics marker for different phases of cell cycle?

I want to check cell cycle phase specific expression of a gene but do not want to go for Flow Cytometry. I want an alternative strategy for cell cycle phase determination. I found some drugs that specifically inhibit cells in a particular phase of cell cycle but I need a marker in transcriptomics level as positive control to understand that I can understand the cells attain the particular phase of cell cycle. Without protein level i.e. western blot by transcriptomics level is this possible?
