It seems that golgi pH could only be increased by small molecular such as Bafilomycin A1; moreover, there are lots of inhibitors that could regulate intracellular pH, but not that of golgi.
Hi- You might want to try ceramide. It accumulates in the Golgi and is certainly noninvasive. I assume it will effect pH, but I don't know by how much. I assume any change would be a decrease, but I'm not 100% sure. Good luck!
Thank you for your replies. I have no experience with ceramide. I googled it and didn't find lts close relationship with golgi pH. So, I appreciate it a lot if you could provide some references to help me figure it out. Moreover, ceramide seems to be involved in programmed cell death, could it be used in cell culture? Any suggestion is warmly welcomed!
