To replicate the real situation in fat tissues I am interested if there is such a possibility. I am thinking of rearing them separately and the somekind of co-culture, but I did not find any information on this topic.

Maybe you can achieve this using insert culture systems (http://www.ebiotrade.com/buyf/productsf/BD%20Falcon/353182.htm).
1) Put 3T3-L1 cells in a medium with no differenciation factors (i.e. normal medium) top of an insert and in the well. Culture them until cells on the insert are reaching confluence
2) Introduce your differenciation medium at the top of the insert. Still use normal medium for preadipocytes (bottom). Because of the confluency, you may except that you will have differenciation only at the top.
This soluce doesn't exclude adipokine dialogues between preadipocytes and adipocytes.

Its dependent on quality of adipogenesis also. Many a times, you can observe when Passage number goes higher, you get few pockets of differentiated adipocyte rather than uniform adipogenesis. So its in real mixture of preadipocyte and adipocyte in that sense. But on experimental point of view to put it in measurable terms would become difficult.
