I would like to know about any dyes that can bind to curcuin quickly, evenly and completely so that distrbution of curcumin in live rhizomes of turmeric can be visualized.
A dye not, but curcumin reacts with boric acid to form a red-colored compound, rosocyanine. But I guess this is only for 'post-mortem analysis'. Curcumin has no charge groups, is a dye itself so most dyes wont work in vivo...
