Our group wants to design a robotic cell culture incubator with the principle of mixing the cell culture in suspension different from the orbital one. I’m just wondering if exist any incubator for culturing cells in suspension with the principle of movement of flasks supporting platforms another than orbital one. For example, an incubator with a rotating platform or others.
I appreciate any response.
It is a group of bioreactors that are used for suspension cells . At the moment, they have very small ones , perhaps 1 liter all the way to 200 liters or more. We have used frequently a 5 liter and a 15 liter version of these bioreactors.

Hi, I dont know if I understood your question completely. There are several approaches for suspension culture... for example Infors builds incubators with horizontal shaker platforms. Zellwerk has an incubator system with a built-in rotating bed bioreactor. Another common approach is the cultivation in a stirred tank reactor. But usually you would place a STR in an incubator (so the incubator itself does not need to be specialized..). Hope this helps...

Now I will try to clarify my question.
The Reason why I was asking a scientific community for another type of incubator was that I want to know if there is any incubator in which the mechanism to mix cell suspension have the similar impact on cells as in our case. In our design for shaker mechanism in the cell suspension in the moment of change direction for flask spinning will be created very strong turbulent forces which could be very dangerous for the cells. I knew a principle of mixing of a solution with stir bar but I think it is very dangerous for eukariotics cell culture and also in this case has another type of forces that in our design do not appear. An incubator with wave principle of the suspension mixing make by Infors-HT has a principle similar to our one and even have impact on the cells stronger than in our case. I want to say that in the moment of changing a direction of platform inclination it generates forces of chocking with the walls and also turbulent forces. In our case we will have just turbulent forces. Therefore, if the cells can grow in a wave incubator, then in our case they will do so definitely.
