Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are cancer cells that possess characteristics associated with normal stem cells, specifically the ability to give rise to all cell types found in a particular cancer sample.
But I would like to know more about their motility.

We have done extensive timelapse microscopy on CSC and they are many fold higher in overall motility and invasiveness in matrigel.

Hello,
in general, CSC exhibit higher motility rate, comparing to differentiated cancer cells. Furthermore, cancer cells undergoing Epithelial to Mesenchymal Transition (EMT), reversing their differentiated epithelial phenotype toward mesenchymal resembling phenotype, gain extremely motile abilities, increasing cancer cell invasive and metastatic properties in vivo.
