I wanted to check cells viabilty in S. cerevisiae using MTT assay. Can anyone has use MTT assay for this purpose in yeast ?

Yes, you can use MTT assay in S. cerevisiae. Don't get me wrong, i am happy to help but, with a quick research on pubmed or even google, you are able to find an answer to this question. Waiting for you question to get answered might waste your time.

MTT is based on succinate dehydrogenase present in mitochondria of cells. Upon addition of MTT reagent this is convreted into formazon crystal.
If S. cerevisiae has this enzyme. Yes you can use MTT no problem.
