It could help in protection of many diseases not only COVID-19 depends upon ingredients but it doesn't mean this should take more frequently. One or two times a day is enough.
Does kadha really work in COVID-19? An interesting topic but not much scientific evidence.
I did not find any articles any where except from India about herbal drink kadha regarding its' immune boosting properties. No randomised controlled trial is done in patients with COVID-19.
However, these articles from scientic and lay press discuss about it.

Yes. Kadha(decoction) made from Tulsi (Basil), Dalchini (Cinnamon), Kalimirch (Black pepper), Shunthi (Dry Ginger) strengthens our immune system and has more of preventive effect.
However it's dosage & frequency of intake should be as per individual's body constitution.
