Agronomists conduct trials on nutrient (NPK and others) management in which 150% and even 200% of RDF (recommended dose of fertilizer) are considered as treatment. Research fundings show higher productivity with nutrient levels at >RDF. Further, STCR based trials show higher dose of nutrients, sometimes >200% of RDF. My question is:

"Is it the right time to relook into fertilizer recommendation for crops for more precise nutrient management?"
