For transportation, human umbilical cord MSCs may be suspended in 10 mL of sterile normal saline and maintained in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 4°C under sterile and dark conditions. The stem cell suspensions should be transported as rapidly as possible to ensure infusion within 8 hours of dissociation.
