For vaginal drug delivery it is required to do MTT assay, but the specific cells is not available. Thus is it possible to use L929 cell lines instead?
you can use VK2/E6E7 (ATCC® CRL-2616™) or End1/E6E7 (ATCC® CRL-2615™). If not possible use a cell line with the epithelial morphology. Unfortunately according to ATCC website, L929 has the fibroblast morphology.
Thank you for your answer Dr.Naderi.
Why the L929 with fibroblast morphology is not suitable?
no it is in Inappropriate option for this purpose
But based on ATCC, these cell lines can be used for toxicity testing.
This cell line is a suitable transfection host. Can I refer to this reference?
effect of double bond on the flexibility of polymers
