These days the hottest news of the world is about the rate of the victims of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). It is very interesting if you share your valuable experiences here. Let's help each other.
Postponing meetings to shortly before/after summer, avoid busses and trains if possible, avoid mass events. Replace by virtual meetings etc. until the situation becomes more clear. My private remedy (28 yrs business life with less than 25 d total sick leave) is Ferrum phosphoricum D12, taken hourly at first signs of unwellness, chills etc :)
I've stayed home for more than 28 days. Do not go out to have meeting, dinner or even close conversation. May also need to test body temperature every day.
The good thing is I began enjoying reading and cooking, and thinking about life rather than just finishing sth "important".
Avoiding gothering in public places. l had reduced keeping touch with vulnerable people and those suffering from chronic diseases. l wash my hands with water and soap after every activity. After, I had touched any surface or item I didn't rob my eyes nor nose. disinfection of TV remutes, doorknobs, and water taps.
Thank you Ignatius G.D Suglo , all the methods you have taken are great. my strategy for using ATMs and elevators is same with you, but I prefer to use my keys or my car key to touch the buttons.
In addition to the suggested methods of improving personal and community hygiene, water points should be provided in all markets and other places where a limited gathering is unavoidable such as matatus and other public transports.
Thank you Joseph Kangangi Gikunju ... Fortunately, in most of the places in public area I have seen some detergents and gloves for the customers to use. The importance of the hygiene is obvious these days.. Completely agree with you to place water points in all the markets...
It is exciting to observe the hard work of other researchers from biology and medicine and to share information about protection against coronavirus. One of the latest posts is about a simplified, precise, and cheap test on coronavirus with a free-of-charge license.
Such a test can save a lot of lives, especially in developing countries. It was developed in the Czech private testing laboratory.
PLEASE SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS TEST SPECIFICALLY IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES!
Another layer of my fight against coronavirus is informing the general public about the ways of self-protection and means of infection mitigation. An inseparable part of it is the support of people who felt into a panic mode of behavior and informing those who live in the denial of the real course of things.
My personal approach is to assess the probabilities of acquiring an infection during various activities and minimizing the cumulative effect of those risks.
During this Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, we remain at home, avoid to visit crowded areas, use of face mask when going out for purchasing essential items (medicines, milk, fruits, vegetables etc.), immediate washing of hands with soap and water after coming in contact with symptomatic person or surface, eating of foods rich in antioxidants to increase the immunity, and greeting the person with Namaste (Indian way of greeting) instead of hand shaking.
I recommend the use of Vaseline in both nostrils whenever one goes out of home, daily drinking of one lemon juice in one glass of water in morning, and taking Vitamin E and Omega fatty acids -3 .
Purpose(Public Health):The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow).
Purpose(Public Health):Please share it to your community.
prevention is better than cure.
At this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. However, there are many ongoing clinical trials evaluating potential treatments.

Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
Reason: When someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease.
Purpose(Public Health):Please share it to your community.Prevention is better than Cure
Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
Reason: Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick.
Purpose (Public Health): Please share it to your community.Prevention is better than Cure :Plan to take the food which enriches Active Immunity .Note: Active immunity occurs when our own immune system is responsible for protecting us from a pathogen .Powerful immune system boosters:
Citrus fruits. Most people turn to vitamin C after they've caught a cold. ...

People may be sick with the virus for 1 to 14 days before developing symptoms. The most common symptoms of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are fever, tiredness, and dry cough. More rarely, the disease can be serious and even fatal. Older people, and people with other medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease), may be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill.
People may experience: cough, fever, tiredness, difficulty breathing (severe cases).

To control the Covid-19 pandemic effectively, healthcare professionals and the public must hear and accept difficult truths. America has failed to do this; so the virus spreads unchecked.
Transmission of the virus can not be stopped it can only be delayed to allow healthcare systems to cope with the increased demand on services. So please preserve respirator face masks for healthcare professionals who must care for patients infected with SARS-CoV-2.
Unfortunately, rather than being honest; authorities have repeatedly changed advice about the need to wear facemasks. As a result, healthcare professionals and the public can no longer trust what is being said. The mistrust has been fuelled by conflicting messages for healthcare professionals and the general public.
In the current situation the only safe thing for anyone to do is to try to wear facemasks that provide the best protection. The real difficulty is that the best medical grade respirator face masks are in extremely short supply. Healthcare professionals, putting their lives on the line, need these masks to protect themselves from their infected patients.
Up to 25% of healthcare professionals in the UK are either off work due to sickness or because of suspected exposure. Excess deaths occur when healthcare systems can not care for patients who need treatment. The more healthcare workers who go off sick, the less care sick patients can receive.
The public can be protected by social distancing. As an intensivist I do not have this option, I must get very near to patients to look after them. I will be honest; respirator face masks do protect people from transmission of Covid-19. Cloth face masks are unlikely to protect uninfected people but are likely to reduce spread of virus from those infected with SARS-CoV-2. Not going near patients with Covid-19 is much more effective.
I therefore ask the public to fully engage with social distancing and preserve the medical grade face masks for healthcare professionals who do not have this option.
