Is it possible to design a drug compound to suppress the mutation in the DNA ,I have the logic to hold the drug at particular site in mutated DNA, am I right ?
Idea is very good but i did nt get how to do it. You can increase mutation by inhibiting proof reading activity
I am not sure what you want the drug to do? Prevent mutations occurring? Or improve the systems that try to repair mutations when they occur, or the system that stops cell division when DNA damage is present? Even improving the apoptotic system that makes cells commit suicide when too many mutations occur would make sense in that respect.
We actually do have a lot of ideas about decreasing mutation rates occurring. Don't smoke, or stop smoking. Drugs that help you stop smoking would likely be the most effective thing you could do in this field. Stay out of the sun, or use effective sunscreen, don't fly, increase our knowledge about mutagenic compounds and make sure you are not exposed to these. All this makes a lot of sense. Some compounds can protect even after mutagenic compounds are present like many anti-oxidants (which can have side effects though) and substances like N-acetyl cysteine that reduce electophilic stress. But these only make sense during acute situations (like extreme paracetamol intoxications).
Changing the actual DNA repair, cell division or apoptotic processes or even detecting and removing changed cells is very tricky indeed, and the biological systems are very well optimized already. But yes, there is research going on on all these aspects.
Many of the genes like DNA mutation and RNA leads to disease.I want to neutralize the effect through chemical reaction in the form of Drug, for like DNA mutation there are Purine and Pyrimidine structurally and chemically differ,Mostly I am concentrating on two concepts the drug want to be perform to get neutralize the effect structurally and chemically and my Talk about the different non coding RNA leading to cancer
Don't prefer unnatural processes. While a baby gets vaccine do you think its natural that the baby is ? But till now some novel vaccines work. But when the external compound/Drug plays with DNA, it's the starting point of chimeric substance. If you want to try be careful to your basic need. It may also have risky to your genetic material.
