NOS enzyme needs a lot of post translational modifications like myristoylation and palmitoylation and dimerization for being functional. So my guess is you might be able to express the protein in Bacteria but it might not be functional.

Yes It is always possible to express eukaryotic NOS in bacteria. we express all three isoforms in EColi and they behave as expected . Please check my publications in Pubmed
