To be on the accurate way of treatment and management OF colpitis AND /OR pelvic inflammatory disease and be sure of the causative factors ,it is essential to do blood culture and even the aspirated material for culture and gram stain and sensitivity
Thank you for your answer. The implicit part of my question is the following: Would you wait two or three days for the results of the microbiological examination when your patient has fever, severe pain, etc. or start the treatment without delay on the basis of the clinical evaluation?
(Sometimes the results of the microbiological examination are false negative.)
sir marton Milankovits i fully agree with Saad Al Ani, for the accurate and correct treatment of Colpitis and/or PID, one should be sure of the type of organisms causing infection.for that it is necessary to do the blood culture and aspirated material culture,but it takes some time for reports to come in hand,so on the clinical evaluation one can start the treament accordingly.
