I understand that the cell line HEK-293-FT grows faster than HEK-293-T. Is this the only difference between these cell lines? Is it correct that neither of these cell lines have lentiviral packaging genes such as gag, pol, tat, and rev? If these genes are supplied in trans, which of these two is the best cell line for lentiviral packaging? Will the high growth rate of 293-FT prove undesirable during the 2-3 days of virus production?

HEK-293FT is easier to be transfected. Indeed, they give a higher lentivirus titer, because of their large T antigen. I suggest you try both of them and choose accordingly.
I use HEK-293T for lentiviral production and they work fine. For what I know, HEK-293FT are a clone derived from HEK-293T that has been selected for its ease of transfection and fast growing rate. They both express the SV large T antigen and thus are more suitable compared to HEK-293 for the replication of plasmids containing the SV origin of replication. So in principle FT should be only a T clone optimized to obtain higher viral titers
