Many reports mentioned about various level of cow's milk protein residual detection by ELISA in different hydrolysate formulas for cow's milk protein allergy treatment. From my understanding, there is no clear standard to interpret such level in allergenicity perspective. I wonder if ELISA may represent only part of specific protein, not the intact protein that can cause allergy. So, ELISA result may not translate to certain level of allergenicity in any product.
