Almost certainly. Cell culture conditions are also unlikely to be optimal for Camoy growth as temperature a bit low at 37 and oxygen likely to be a bit high. As far as a protection assay 100 micrograms per ml is fairly standard, but check that your bugs are not gentamicin resistant first. Colisitin can be used instead if they are.

You did not indicate what your culture growth conditions were (medium, temp., atmosphere) or if you were having any problems with growing Campylobacter?
