The double-slit interference experiment holds profound importance in the establishment of quantum physics. This experiment is a significant milestone in the history of quantum mechanics. Richard Feynman described it as "a phenomenon that cannot be explained in any classical way and contains the core of quantum mechanics. In fact, it contains the only mystery [of quantum mechanics]." Now that this mystery has been unveiled, we do not intend to offend the principles of quantum mechanics; rather, we have provided reasonable analysis and derivation. We hope our research can stimulate thought and further investigation among our peers.
Preprint Investigating the Double-Slit Interference Experiment
1. The key to explaining the double-slit interference experiment is the understanding of the basic structure of light.
2. The classical electromagnetic wave model is wrong. I have a detailed description in the paper, see Chapter 5 "The Basic Structure of Electromagnetic".
3. The energy that drives the light comes from the electric field, and the propagation direction of the light is the same as the electric field. There is a magnetic field around the electric field, and the magnetic field surface is perpendicular to the light path. When the electric field energy changes periodically, the surrounding magnetic field will also change periodically.
4. The periodically changing magnetic field constitutes a magnetic field wave, which will interfere on the double slits, thereby affecting the propagation direction of the electric field.
5. Therefore, when a photon passes through any slit, the interference of the magnetic field wave will cause the propagation direction of the photon to change. This change is closely related to the interference of the magnetic field wave.
6. There are higher frequency magnetic field waves around electrons, as well as atoms and molecules. Therefore, these magnetic field waves will eventually cause the propagation direction of particles to change when they pass through the double slits.

The clue is to consider the physical world as the coexistence of two entities and not only one. Like the phrase "stuff in a media," it follows elementary particles (stuff) and their quantum space (media). Now you can understand that the media is sufficiently big that it splits into two when they pass through the double slit, but its particle is smaller and passes only through one of them. The wavy quantum space will develop with interference meanwhile, its particle will be jumping between the valid space evolvement. Good Tony, hope you can read more about this "stuff in a media" that in some way joins Relativity with Quantum mechanics. It suggests a quasi-superposition of eigenstates instead of a compact superposition one. By that, the wavy quantum space will reveal randomly only one eigenstate per fluctuation at the rate of its energetic content (Planck´s periodic time tau). The 4th dimension is considered at the quantum scale as Ctau... any many more insights that this "stuff in a media" show. Hope you like it and get inspired. Regards

If you can correctly understand the structure of electromagnetic waves, you will know that the double-slit interference experiment is very easy to explain. Because the magnetic field interferes at the location of the double slit, it affects the propagation direction of the electric field. That's all.
