we are looking to measure insulin concentration in a fasting state in healthy and obese (high fat diet) mice C57Bl6j.
- which Elisa insulin kit are you using ?
- what level of insulin concentration in healthy mice ?
With the mercodia insulin kit, we did not (twice) detect insulin level in healthy controls C57Bl6j mice.

I normally use Alpco Ultrasensitive mouse insulin in B6 mice.
Are your animals fasted for 4-5 hours or 24 hours?

They are 4 to 6 hours fasted. All experiments around 2 PM.
we have insulin around 0.6 ug/L

I agree with Marie in that we also use the Alpco kit and to make sure that you fast your mice for 4 hrs prior to study.
