After a power cut, the vacuum value displayed by our Alpha Ensemble Ortec alpha spectrometer is incorrect. It always displays the maximum pressure value (19990 mTorr) on the maestro software for each detector even though the pump is working and there is actually vacuum in the detector chamber (the door is impossible to open and the peaks of our calibration source are on the correct position).
Has anyone faced this problem or know how to solve it?
in general, you can keep the pressure about 100 mTorr to work fine, and to give good resolution .on the other hand, in the older systems is very hard to set up the pressure to start work without taking the instrument apart.In the modern machines it can be control the pressure in the chamber to requirements
