It has been reported in few literature that glycoluril is soluble in hydrochloric acid/ammonium hydroxide/diethylether. We have purchased glycoluril from Sigma-Aldrich and tried to dissolve it in all of the above mentioned solvents at 25 to 50 degree Celsius. It seems that glycoluril is not soluble in either of the solvents. Is there any particular technique to make it soluble or are there any other solvents in which it shows better solubility ?
Dear Sir. Concerning your issue about the solvent that dissolve the Glycoluril (Acetylene carbamide). Soluble in water with 15 g/l at 100 ºC and soluble in ammonium hydroxide, diethylether, and hydrochloric acid; insoluble in ethanol and acetic acid (Lide, 1995; Budavari, 1996; Hoechst Celanese Corp., 1997) I think the following below links may help you in your analysis:

Can you please suggest any particular technique or conditions to dissolve glycoluril in ammonium hydroxide, diethylether or hydrochloric acid ?
I have tried all three solvents at different temperature (upto 50-60 ºC ) under stirring for more than 15 minutes but gycoluril is still insoluble.
you need to know the solubility parameter of the Glycoluril and all solvent used.
