I am modeling a bolted double lap joint in ABAQUS. The load condition is tensile load, but in Static Implicit cannot be converged. Can I use the quasi-static implicit analysis instead, while the applied load to this structure is tensile load (static load)?
I think you mean quasi-static explicit analysis not implicit. It is a good choice but you should use it corretly. Time and mass scaling should be selected in such a way that the ratio of kinetic energy to internal energy be small enough ( less than 0.1).
Yes, using implicit quasistatic is one of the standard tricks in Abaqus recommended by the experts.

Its better to start with long step time in Dynamic, Explicit, and apply load in long time. For example 10 s. If solution cost is acceptable for you and the mentioned ratio is under 0.1, simulation is quasi-static. But usually its solution cost is unacceptable and you should decrease it. Therefor you should use mass scaling. You should define mass scaling ( second or third tab when Dynamic, Explicit is defined) using a large amount ( for example 1,000,000) for whole model. Next you should check the mentioned ratio to be under 0.1. If not, you should decrease mass scaling ( for example 100,000 for 2nd turn) repeatedly to reach the ratio, considerng solution cost.
