I'm using Jurkat E6.1 cell line, kindly recommend what media should I use; at present I have RPMI-1640 without sod pyruvate & 2g/L glucose, is it ok?

Many of the cancer cell lines are characterized by a high level of glucose uptake and its conversion into pyruvate and then into lactate.
For Jurkat E6.1 cell line, glucose will be required. You may not add sodium pyruvate but 2mM L-glutamine could be added.
For Jurkat E6.1 cell line, the growth media is RPMI 1640 containing 2g/L glucose and supplemented with 10%FBS and 2mM L- glutamine.

the Jurkat E6.1 grow even well without sodium pyruvate, I did not observe any difference in my experience.
