Most of the day we scientists are indoors and often we work on a computer, which is especially bad for our health. Our body and brain require relaxation in nature. How do we react to these two challenges?
Dear Elizabeta Hristovska this is more than important issue.
Since I've thought many times of becoming a physical worker ;) due to specificaly aformentioned health and fitness/fatness reasons, I will strongly follow this interesting topic!
All our activities are getting thru our mind & brain & person of my nature would like to place my working thru inner urge & divinity within us to have with us the right type of solution .
Our mind is a energy force & its never gets tired & as such either relaxation or searching of any working process are thru our mind only with all the times offers us the right type of guidance unless we bye our nature deviate from our mind .
It depends on the activities of the day. Sometimes, the only work for the day is to search internet for useful information. Sometimes on a busy day, working on internet could be a kind of relaxing the brain, mind and body. Generally, the right choice is to rest.
I try and have a walk in nature at least once everyday ... I divide the rest of my time on the internet, writing articles, working with clients, looking after the house and my small vegetable patch. I am always surprised I can accomplish so much. In addition to the above I start and end my day meditating.
In order to be productive in your work as a researcher, it is both necessary to write and give yourself a break from time to time so that the brain can work actively.
unfortunately the creation of new knowledge is a state of war between Mind and Nature. Nature want to protect its sensitive data. So, Stress is the tool of nature which get induced into human mind. Also to get more deep and creative neural networking, more stress is being gifted. Its all about scarification, there is actually a feeling of reward but no actual flower to get relax as sustainable goal. Thats`why most of the scientists and researchers get much stressed and uncomfortable to follow normal wishes which can bring happiness. The only way out is to Get relax occasionally as according to the best suitable method applies for you. And again start work. One very important thing is sharing of collective Though Pool to make our neuron being charged and in "Safe" environmental zone. which means keep Networking and Sharing with those minds who are at same level of Quest of Knowledge. It helps in Quantum Spectrum of brain to get "Self sustain courage" and acquire/ extract more better energies necessary for "Relaxation".
Elizabeta - I will choose nature. When I enjoy nature I feel relaxed and cool. I forget all my anxieties, sufferings of past and caring for future. But when I work on research gate I enjoy it too but after some time I feel like my body is tired and exhausted. Being in nature increases pleasant feelings. It not only makes you feel better emotionally but also it contributes to your physical wellbeing, reduces blood pressure and muscle tension, improves vitality and mood. Nature makes you happier and less brooding. Imagine a pleasant walk in the woods. "It is a natural pill".
It is weird to pass by this question today in specific because my plans today include to relax in nature while having a breakfast picnic... it is very important for the scientist to take a break so he can have a clear mind and energy to start over the next day... but i will be honest, while i am relaxing i will quickly check my RG profile :)
Thanks to all of you who dedicate part of your free time to my question. Your various answers stimulate my thinking on the subject. I'm glad to get information from people from different countries of the world.
I would definitely choose the quality time to be spent being close to nature , nature is the greatest source of inspiration for any creative endeavour, research or any other such activities, being close to nature helps connect to our inner selves better and more effectively, and freeing us of the shackles of superficial materialism and petty disappointments and burdens of routine life.
