Work as a researcher is difficult, requires great personal renounces, but also for our families, and yet little paid to the effort involved. That's why I'm interested in what your thinking about the above question is?
Although I became a succesful surgeon I had a stressful life that affected my health. Perhaps I’d rather have been a innovator in computing, unfortunately I was on the wrong continent.
Yes, of course I would choose the same profession, since I have had the great fortune that research and teaching fill me personally and professionally.
My current profession, a University Professor in public health is my dream profession. I love mentoring and shaping young minds to become public health professionals who end up serving the humanity. I love freedom that it offers re research, as well as academic freedom and the chance to select which problems I research. It is not the case for many other professions.
I chose the profession am in now, not out of coercion but the joy of doing research. Thus, so far as I still enjoy research, I will choose it again if I had the chance to rethink my choice.
I do not think so, because the program of career selection and career determination in developing countries does not match the requirements of freedom of choice.
Elizabeta - This is a very thoughtful question and requires a deep insight and introspection. For a while I thought that 'had I the chance to choose my profession, would it be the same that I have now? The answer came instantaneously 'YES' because I feel liking my profession of teaching, research and extension. This is the reason that I work very hard and enjoy working tirelessly, face new challenges and commitments. I love to help my students when they face problems in academic life and prefer joint publications so as to carry them together with me.
definitely , my teaching profession is noble and serving society, with earning -earning both-money and respect , there is no limit to hard work and research in this field, so yes
The question is incorrect. It is impossible to compare me 17 years old and present. If I chose again, having the same amount of information that I had in my youth - I would choose something else (my choice was just probabilistic, and in fact I was close to another variant...). Now, having a lot of information about the current profession and having “philistine” ideas about other professions, I certainly chose something new, just to not repeat.
Whatever the planned approach,we have been satisfied with the same due to our learning observation ,studying matters , for which we have planned our career for our lifeline .
Distinguished members of the RG and my supporters, I would like to thank your various opinions. I hope that not only me and our other friends will benefit from your comment.
I sincerely thank you for all your answers to my question. Dear, please excuse me that I can not recommend at least one , because I respect all equally.
All of us may wish things in the youth but God chooses and writes the best for us and therefore I will not choose except what God wrote for me because it is the best for me
