It depends on the nature of the person. Some men and women are difficult to admit their mistakes. I have seen very arrogant women and men as well. I have seen that generally, African men are difficult to admit their frailties before women but I don't know of other cultures. I think it may be an issue of cultural diversity affecting workplace ethics.
I suspect that when women have discovered their own mistakes, they process them inwardly differently - probably more guiltyly - than men do. However, the external presentation of one's own mistakes and missed actions happens gender-differently under the eyes of men than under the eyes of women in a team or a company.
Never. I remember that two American female professors made significant mistakes but they did never accept their faults and further did never apologize me for their faults. In my opinion, many consider the recognition of errors as weakness. And many strive in no way to show weakness. It does not depend on gender.
There are several ways to handle "error states". The first, and the most stupid - not to recognize a mistake in any case. The second is to show that "there was nothing." The most shameful thing is to attribute own mistake to another person and actively begin to deal with it as well as with “source of error”. Frank confession of own mistake is, in my opinion, a trait of a strong person. If a person is capable of it, but I begin to respect him. There is another way - to consider any decision initially as a potential source of error, and to approve this decision as it becomes clear that this is not a mistake. Then the whole team is involved in the proof / refutation of this statement and the error does not have the author, however, there will most likely not be any mistake. A strong leader, in my opinion, is a person who is not make of irreversible actions until he is convinced that his decision is correct.

In my experience, women tend to forgive men if they make mistakes and admit it. Men do not like to admit that they have done anything wrong, nor will they admit it in front of women. It really is a nice question and it has lots of expectations !! In fact, women are as thin and emotional as they are strong and ambitious in the field of work so I think they have two directions in dealing with mistakes and depending on the type of error! If the error causes damage to the public interest may not be recognized but if the damage on the personal level! You may recognize this or at least try to correct the mistake before disclosing it.
