DNA code can be modified by physicians. Today humans possibly will disappear, computer will live instead... What do you expect at the end of the scienfitic progress? Computers? Why must they alive? Third world war? Some big-bang in hydronic collider or so on?
Today artificial intelligence in computers implies evolution algorithm (willing to alive) and neural networks in order to BE SMARTER than previous computers. So maybe AI robots will alive after us. But what is the possible end result of such terminator world? They change solar system, universe? What is the finish of this game?

2. Regarding evolutionary algorithm I meant that the best solution survives. In this sense it seems to me in somewhat it is similar to natural selection of Darwin. Maybe I am wrong but I want to imagine the future of scientific progress, development of artificial brain. This brain should looks like the human one. As I understand the scientific progress moves strongly due to "our willing to alive". Therefore the strongest computer should possess such "feeling"
3. About "want anything". Our clothes, homes, medicine are examples of our better adaptation (better evolution) than biological creatures. All the human wants is to alive. Physicists are not exception - if they did not get salary the science disappears.
