What are private criteria of memory accuracy? I do not know answer but I think that maybe the answer is absent in principal!!!
I request you to reply on the question. Let you remember some fact of your previous life (e.g. yesterday meeting with your girlfriend). At the moment of remembering, today you are sitting down on a chair and you do not have any things helping to remember that meeting. That meeting (as a memory) exists only in your head. WHY ARE YOU SURE that this is the memory? WHAT ARE PERSONAL AND CLEAR CRITERIA OF IT? Maybe it is your fantasy or mixture of it and memory? Why not?
Other my idea. Maybe your memory is not a memory but simply a hypothesis which can be tested (be proved that it is really a memory) only in the experiment? So hello you mind is physics!
