Hello!

I have a basic question about polymer chemistry.

I work with solutions of polyesters and other polymers in organic solvents. Sometimes I add the solvent to the polymer granules and get a turbid liquid, which does not become transparent upon stirring or heating. I think that the solubility is imperfect, and turbidity is an indicator of the poor compatibility between the polymer and the solvent. Should I call this mixture a suspension? Or a blend? Or an "imperfect solution"?
