I am going to express a immonoglobulin whose N-terminal variable region of light chain and heavy chain are directed against ovalbumin. I have the gene sequence for light chain that encodes specific amino acid sequence that can recognise ovalbumin. On the other hand I dont have sequence for heavy chain (N-term variable) that might recognise ovalbumin. Can I just put the N-ternimal variable region of light chain into heavy chain? Will it work? If some one have some other ideas that these variable regions of both chains can be directed against some other non-human epitopes, it will be great help.
