I am looking to convert the concentration of Human IFN-gamma protein from 1000 IU/ml to mg/ml. Could anyone provide guidance on the conversion process or share the resulting concentration? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!
The potency we tested was 2.019 × 10^6 U/mg. Theoretically, it's impossible to convert IU to U, as these values are defined by different organizations.
If you need an approximate conversion, we can use 1000 IU/mL as ≈ 1000 U/mL.Then the mass concentration is 1000 U/mL divided by 2.019 × 10^6 U/mg, which equals 0.495 × 10^-3 mg/mL = 495 ng/mL.
Because this is an approximate value, we recommend setting a concentration gradient around this value.
