I have identified the zooplankton species based on An Illustrated Key to the Philippine Freshwater Zooplankton by Flemming Petersen and I am hoping you could help me with it. Attached here are the documents. Thank you.
here are several other resources that you may find helpful in identifying zooplankton species. Some options include:
Consulting with a local expert or academic researcher who has expertise in zooplankton identification. They may be able to provide guidance on how to use the key or suggest other resources that could be helpful.
Using online identification guides or keys, such as those provided by government agencies or academic institutions. These guides may include photographs or other illustrations that can help you identify different species of zooplankton.
Consulting with a local natural history museum or other institution that has specimens of zooplankton. These institutions often have experts on staff who can help you identify different species.
The pictures you added are kind of fuzzy when blown up, but the genus of the cladoceran species is Macrothrix. I can't tell if it is a triserialis species because I can't see the size and detail of the post abdominal claw. If you have a good paper or key that you can use to identify it, that would be better so you can dissect the post abdominal claw and get a better look at it. Unfortunately, I cannot id the copepod either. Good luck with making progress on that, using a key will definitely be helpful.
