This is great. It's a bit similar with what I am trying to attempt using ASIA context, albeit at a small scale, and at prelim. level.
1. Suicide rate (actual) can be compiled in Western Europe countries and North American currently which can be reliable. I am having big challenges on this for Asian countries.
2. I was wondering what is the proxies used for "mean level of religiosity"? Measuring religiosity at this time (as compared to Durkheim's time) will be much more challenging.
3. There will be many other religions involved given the decades of migration to Western European countries as compared to Durkheim's time where he assessed only Protestant viz Catholics?
