1. Suicide rate (actual) can be compiled in Western Europe countries and North American currently which can be reliable. I am having big challenges on this for Asian countries.
2. I was wondering what is the proxies used for "mean level of religiosity"? Measuring religiosity at this time (as compared to Durkheim's time) will be much more challenging.
3. There will be many other religions involved given the decades of migration to Western European countries as compared to Durkheim's time where he assessed only Protestant viz Catholics?
Is you comparison between Asia versus Western Europe, or only among Asian groups or geography?
Oh Widan, how do you categorise them there? Indonesia is also one of my interested country, besides China and India, as it has the largest Muslim population. The others are Pakistan and India (India has 20% Muslim I think, but given their base population, it comes to more than 200m Muslims). Think next is probably Iran.
Based on the Goverment policy. They give free day for each holy day religion. Islam, Christian, Catholic, Budha, Hindu. Now, they add Kong Hucu. So, totally six.
