I needed some dITPs (2'-deoxyinosine 5'-triphosphate) for a PCR reaction to get optimal results. However being in Australia the wait would be over 3 weeks so I took a gamble and hoped to receive them within 5 days ordering through a distributor here and getting them sent straight to me from Europe. Unfortunately due to a multitude of shipping and delivery issues it took a total of 8 days.
How stable are dITPs at room temperature for such a long period? (I assume it would be similar to dNTPs....?)

I think that the dNTPs should still work. Just give it a try.

We had that problem shipping dNTPs and PCR reagents to Australia. Always fill your forms out right, as I'm sure you know by now haha. If they are pure, dNTPs are certainly fine for weeks at ambient (we tested 1 month of PCR mastermix @ 37 with no decline in activity by qPCR).
But they need to be perfectly pure. If you have the slightest trace of metal contamination, you're going to see metal-catalyzed hydrolysis. If you want to be 100% sure, you should test it. TLC is a quick quantitative test that can be very sensitive for trace hydrolysis products.

Hi Christian - they aren't dNTPs (i.e. dATP, dGTP, dTTP, dCTP) - they are dITPs. I was under the impression they would have similar stability but cannot be certain.
